Wondering about Diet: Day 1 of Detoxing from sugar, dairy and grain

So my dear friend did the "Whole 30" program and my church mentioned "The Daniel Plan" so I was feeling  prodded to really think about eating.  I don't know about anyone else but figuring out how much sugar we scarf down without thinking about it is frightening.  One of the passages in "The Daniel Plan" said around the turn of the century we ate 22 teaspoons of sugar a year...now we do that daily.   Doesn't seem like that can be good.  I also know that there many people who experience trouble with gluten....  So I have been really overwhelmed reading all this material and the slightly different approaches of the Whole 30 and the Daniel Plan.  Both have good points and some down sides so I'm sorta mixing and matching on my own.  My plan at this point is to be sugar, gluten and grain free as well as no processed foods -- I'm defining that as anything that has more than 5 ingredients -- or ingrediants I can't pronounce or find on the internet -- if I can find them and they are just artificial junk...then it's a no.   The Daniel Plan detox goes for 10 days...and right now that's what I am aiming for --  10 days as a staring point.  I'll reassess once I get to Day 10.

Breakfast -
2 scrambled eggs
1 cup of kale chips

I feel like I ate chinese food....I was hungry within 30 minutes.  Grr...am I really hungry or just freaked out.  There is a heavy dose of freaked out.....

I'm also really tired...yawning to beat the band.  I want to chew gum.  But no.  I will not chew gum.  This will be a lot of fun...especially since the "Bad Days" are supposed to be Day 3&4....

Snack
Cinnamon roasted almonds -- about 15
Banana

I may make it to lunch.....
